Another attempt at everything. "all around me are familiar faces..."
I really don't like talking about my job, but I have to make an exception for this.. At work, if we lose anything, we have to wait twelve years to get replaced. For instance, our automatic pill counter has stopped functioning, so we have to get it sent back (this happened about a week and a half ago from this post) for them to service it. I'm away for a week, and I bet the thing will still be sitting in the box waiting to be sent back. I guess it's a god send, cause I need to improve my hand counting skills.
Then there was friday's fiasco. Someone brought in a fake script for narcotics, and my pharmacist is all panicky, called the police and based on what happened the last time, it was pure pandemonium. So naturally when I saw the cops come in, along with the patient phoning in, saying that they would be there to pick up the medicine within 30. No lies, I flipped out. See, it's not that I have a problem with catching the "bad guys" it's just that she doesn't know how to handle it, falls apart, then I have to do two jobs, and still catch the bad guys, frankly, it's too much to deal with, when accompanied by her. To my luck, the person never came.
Finally, we received two new cashiers. One who has the proper training, and the other none whatsoever. Of course this didn't become a problem until the main office sends us an email saying that she's not allowed to work with us until she was properly trained. So that was a week without the help that we needed. No shock there.
Aside from that, life is pushing along as it should be. Roughly, three weeks ago, I was sick with some sort of virus. I woke up thinking that I had pink eye, and missed some days at work. It turned out to be a bad cold, and all I needed was some strong cough syrup (promethazine) With school, I fucked up on one class, but that's all good, i'll just retake it next semester. Expanding on being back to school, it's weird this time around. I don't know if it's because i'm more focused on other things than people, but everyone seems distant.
Before I wrap up this long ass post, I just have to explain my disliking of Tumblr. Sure, there's nothing wrong with a picture blog (of course, cause this is half thoughts/pictures) but the problem I have with it is that you can't leave comments, and it just seems brainless. Your only option is to "reblog" or like it. (reblogging is taking the image and posting it on your tumblr page, to have other people do the same) Some people use discus (which sucks btw) or open id for people to leave actual comments. Most people are clearly too lazy to go through all that trouble. I'm not going to get an account just to fucking reblog or to like an image. If it was appropriately linked to something like blogger, it would be perfect, cause you could seamlessly leave comments without having to have an actual tumblr account. Until then, I'll stick to a medium where I can leave thoughts and opinions. Anyway, that's my 50 cents.
